Trisha S. Wollin

Psychotherapist MSW, LCSW, RPT, SAC

In my 20 years of providing mental health therapy, I have strived to assist individuals to find elements of success in managing their emotions and behaviors on a day-to-day basis. As a believer in effective communication, I develop a nurturing environment for individuals and families that involves enthusiasm, flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to change and adapt.

I hold a master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, and a Substance Abuse Counselor. As the owner of Applied Therapies and Wellness Center, S.C., my current practice focuses on a holistic approach of treating the mind, body, and spirit. I incorporate the use of trauma-based techniques, play therapy, EMDR, theraplay, somatic processing, adoption competencies, client centered, and cognitive behavioral techniques with individuals and children as young as 18 months.  Treatment specialty areas include posttraumatic stress disorder, attachment disorders/reactive attachment disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual assault, out-of-home placement, adoption, and addiction.

Over the past 20 years, I have learned “in the trenches” how important change and adaption are to establishing consistent environments for individuals and families to thrive. I have worked in a variety of settings including a community based residential facility, nursing homes, corrections, private practice, and as an adjunct instructor at a local college. It is my belief that addressing concerns one step at a time yields powerful results for both individuals and families.
